Argolis tour

In just an hour from the city of Athens, we will visit the famous Corinth Canal which connects the Saronic to the Corinthian Gulf.
Ancient Corinth – Apollo Temple – Corinth Canal

 

The tour starts from your hotel or from the place you have chosen. In just an hour from the city of Athens, we will visit the famous Corinth Canal which connects the Saronic to the Corinthian Gulf.

 

After we will visit the ancient city of Corinth, which considered the richest city of the ancient world because it was the most important commercial center. There we will see the Apollo temple, the Peirene Fountain and many ancients findings of the area at the Archaeological Museum.

 

After we will go to the ancient city of Mycenae at Argolis area and we will see the tomb of Agamemnon, the Cyclopean Walls, the Lions Gate and the Archaeological Museum.

 

Epidaurus Theater – Lions Gate Mycenae – Nafplio Bourtzi

 

Our next stop is in Nafplio with its Venetian fortress dominates the city and the castle of Bourtzi located in the middle of the harbor, built on an islet. There, we will have a fun break for a lunch in a traditional restaurant with Greek cuisine.

 

After we will go at the ancient city of Epidaurus. There we will have a unique opportunity to visit the ancient theater with the excellent acoustics.

 

At the end of the tour we will leave you where we pick you up or anywhere you want on the return route.

Activity Timeline

We start from Athens after pick up from your hotel !!!

Stop: 15 minutes - Corinth We head towards the Corinth canal (short stop).

Stop: 60 minutes - Mycenae Continue to Mycenae and visit the archaeological site and the tomb of Agamemnon. We learn about the classical Greek culture as we walk through this impressive site.

Stop: 2 hours - Nafplio We proceed to the beautiful town of Nauplio. Enjoy strolling around the picturesque old town, explore the Palamidi fortress. We are having lunch in a greek restaurant

Stop: 60 minutes - Epidavros We depart for Epidaurus and visit the ancient theatre. The UNESCO’S world heritage listed monument is reputed to be the birthplace of Apollo’s son Asklepios, the healer and was the most celebrated healing center of the classical world. Epidaurus is probably most famous for its theatre, one of the best preserved classical Greek buildings and still used today due to its amazing acoustics.
